Abroad, Madeira is also known as the ‘Floating Garden’ or the ‘Garden Island’.

Those who already have visited the island know how appropriate these names are.

Yet, with the multiplicity of flowers, plants and trees, both endemic and originating from every corner of the planet, it becomes quite difficult to name each one, even for those who are knowledgeable in botanics.
